Polarized Lenses
Polarized lenses are designed to reduce glare from reflective surfaces like water, snow, or roads. They feature a special filter that blocks horizontal light waves, allowing only vertical light to pass through. This results in clearer vision, enhanced contrast, and reduced eye strain. Polarized lenses are especially beneficial for outdoor activities like driving, fishing, and skiing.
How Does It Work?
Sunlight travels in all directions. When it reflects off horizontal surfaces like water, snow, asphalt roads, or car hoods, it becomes polarized and travels mainly horizontally. This is the light that creates annoying glare. Polarized lenses contain a special filter of iodine crystals arranged in parallel rows. The filter allows only vertical light to pass through while blocking horizontal polarized light. The result: clear vision without glare
What Are the Benefits of Polarized Lenses?
• Significant glare reduction: eliminates disturbing reflections from light-reflecting surfaces
• Improved contrast and clarity: colors appear deeper and sharper
• Reduced eye fatigue: eyes don't have to work hard against glare
• True color perception: see actual colors without distortion
• UV radiation protection: our polarized lenses provide complete protection from UVA and UVB rays
• Better underwater vision: allows you to see beneath water surfaces
Driving
reduces glare from hoods, wet roads, and windows
Fishing and water sports
allows seeing through water to identify fish and rocks
Beach
blocks intense glare from sand and water
Cycling
improves visibility and safety in bright sun
Pilots
may distort LCD displays in the cockpit and make it harder to spot other aircraft.
LCD screen users
at certain angles, screens may appear dark or "disappear" (smartphones, GPS, ATMs).
Night driving/activities
reduce light and impair vision in low-light conditions.
